Our Policies

  • If you are booking with us for the first time, as new client, a non-refundable deposit of $25 for small dogs and $50 for large dogs will be required to secure your appointment. This deposit will contribute to the price of the groom. The best way to keep the grooming cost down is to put your pet on a maintenance schedule. Your pet will enjoy these grooms because it is easier for them to handle and a shorter time to spend at the shop. We are a busy salon and normally are booked out sometimes 2-3 weeks in advance. We also encourage you to book standing appointments for the year, which ensures you will receive the grooming for your pet during YOUR most available time with no waits or hassles of a holiday appointment. Most pets need to be seen every 4 to 8 weeks. Please note that yearly appointments will be made for pets with consistent grooming time and those on an 8-week schedule or less.

  • If you must cancel your appointment, we require a 48 hour notice. We are a commission-based industry so cancellation and no-shows can make it impossible for us to run efficiently & affordably. You are sent an appointment reminder text 48 hours before your appointment and the morning of your appointment. We reserve the right to charge  50% of your grooming appointment if not canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours or less.  Day of appointment canceled, or No call or No show you will be charged 100 % of the grooming service amount and your credit/ debit card on file  will be charged. If no card is on file, you will be sent an invoice to pay online or will be added to your next appointment or might be asked to pay before scheduling your next appointment.

  • We recommend all puppies have their first groom around four months of age or after their third puppy vaccination series. Oftentimes, a puppy’s first groom is a bath only. Your puppy will be introduced to the process: bath, dryer, toenails, brushing, trimming face & feet. We encourage starting your puppy off when they are young and small to teach them that grooming is a part of their lives, like going for a ride in a car, and nothing to be fearful of.

  • Any pet that comes in with fleas will immediately be put in the tub and your pet will be given a CAPSTAR flea pill which will begin killing fleas usually within 30 minutes. Your pet will also be given a bath with a Non-Toxic mild shampoo base with Neem oil, Essential Oils, an alternative shampoo for the relief of Fleas. Please let us know when scheduling your pet’s appointment and at the time of check-in that you suspect your pet has fleas. A fee for the pill will be added to your bill at the time of check out of $ 10.00 for dogs or cats under 25 pounds, $ 15.00 for dogs over 25 pounds. Pets that are infested with fleas, will be charged an extra fee for fumigation and extra cleaning.

  • Pricing varies for each dog and is determined by breed, size coat condition, and the temperament of your pet during grooming. Additional charges apply for de-shedding treatment, Capstar/flea treatment, teeth brushing, nail filing, nail polish, blueberry facial, coloring, stenciling, paw scrub, paw soak, and any specialty shampoo due to additional time it involves. We may not be able to quote you an exact price until the groom is finished.

  • Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC accepts all major credit cards, check, and cash. There is a $25 charge for non-sufficient funds. Payment is due upon completion of grooming service.

  • Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC may take photos of your pet during and/or after for advertising, promotional, and /or education purposes to be used on the company website or other networking sites.

  • De-matting is a painful, time-consuming, and costly procedure that causes extreme discomfort for the pet. If your pet(s) are in the condition that the mats can be brushed out, there is a charge of $15 EVERY HALF HOUR for de-matting services. Please keep in mind that a matted coat can cause numerous health conditions including itching, irritation, and skin infections. Removing a heavily matted coat includes a risk of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to warts, moles, and skin folds trapped under or hidden in the mats. Heavy matting can trap moisture near the pet's skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritation that exists before the grooming process. When dogs come in with matted ears, matting restricts blood flow to the area. Removing mats can cause a quick rush of blood back into the vessels surrounded by weakening tissue, which may then cause a Hematoma. We are not responsible for any pre-existing conditions, minor nicks, or brush burns resulting from the grooming process of matted and neglected coats, or for irritation caused by coat removal. De-matting can be very painful for your pet so we will not de-mat if we feel it cannot be done humanely. We will be happy to shave down your pet, but if that is something you do not want, then we will have to refuse service. We will be more than happy to show you how to brush your dog, and what tools to get the job done. Please ask!!

  • As an ethical groomer, Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC reserves the right to refuse to de-mat a pet, if it appears the pet cannot tolerate the de-matting process so that it can be done humanely. Therefore, Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC Authorization gives permission to shave the coat of your pet if deemed necessary for the pet's own health and safety. There can be a variety of skin/coat care problems that may occur after the shave down of a dog. These may include the following but are not limited to the loss of hair growth, itching, scratching, biting, licking, shaking, twitching, spinning, rubbing, etc... Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC philosophy is to offer a stress-free grooming experience for your pet. Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC pays special attention to older pets and pets with health issues. You, as the pet owner, are required to advise us of any medical, physical, or emotional issues including but not limited to allergies, sensitivities, pre-existing conditions such as prior surgeries, hip or joint issues, warts, moles, cyst, ear infection, skin issues, etc. * The pet's safety and comfort are our top priority. We will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or a level of stress that we think is excessive. This includes toenail trimming in some situations.

  • Canine Design Pet Grooming LLC is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the manufacturer-recommended usage of any products that we use. Although a pet may experience an allergic reaction to grooming products at any time, flea and tick products are associated with a higher risk of reaction. We strive to use the best chemical-free products in our industry.

  • It is EXTREMELY important for us to know about your pet's behavioral issues; both good and bad. *We reserve the right to refuse service

    * We reserve the right to muzzle your pet for protection if we feel necessary

    * You will be held liable for any bites that require medical treatment, cost, and losses to myself, our groomers, bathers, and the business if you do not disclose that the pet has had or has behavior issues in the past.

    * The bite will be reported to the local authorities as required by law.

*Tranquilized pets will not be accommodated as they should be groomed in the safety of a vet clinic with an in-house groomer.

    * Grooming service can be stopped mid-groom if necessary, for the safety of the pet or groomer and you agree to pay for the full groom.

  • It is highly recommended as a pet owner you should not feed your pet(s) before grooming and walk your dog before you come into the salon. We provide waste bags to pick up your pet(s) waste and we will dispose of the bag for you. When your pet(s) mess in the cage, we may have to bathe your pet again and it takes a more time while your pet is here and takes away time from other client’s pet(s). Please help us save time by taking your pet(s) out prior to grooming.

Please read all of our policies thoroughly prior to scheduling a service with us.
